Enterprise and Marketing is a business studies-related course, which focuses on the key elements when starting and running a new business. Students will look at a variety of concepts such as ‘product development’, ‘how to attract and retain customers’, and ‘what makes a product or service financially viable’ – all from the business point of view.
Alongside an externally set exam, students will have two coursework elements, during which they will complete market research, design a product and review whether their product could be successful. Students will also have the opportunity to pitch their costed promotional plan ‘Dragon’s Den’ style.
The course offers skills and knowledge which can be applied in the real world, and the course itself can lead to Level 3 qualifications such as A Level Business Studies, Level 3 BTec Business and Cambridge Technicals Business Level 3.
